Il Dipartimento federale dell’economia, visto l’articolo 16 della legge del 22 marzo 20021 sugli embarghi, ordina:

I L’allegato dell’ordinanza del 22 giugno 20052 che istituisce provvedimenti nei confronti della Repubblica democratica del Congo è sostituito dalla versione qui annessa.

II La presente modifica entra in vigore il 1° marzo 2011.3

In March 2010, 51 human rights groups working in eastern DRC posted a com- plaint online alleging that Lt Col Innocent Zimurinda was responsible for multiple human rights abuses involv- ing the murder of numerous civilians, including women and children, between Febru- ary 2007 and August 2007. Lt Col Innocent Zimurinda has also been accused in the same complaint to be respon- sible for the rape of a large number of women and girls.

According to a May 21, 2010, statement by the Special Representative of the Secretary General for Chil- dren and Armed Conflict, Innocent Zimurinda has been involved in the arbitrary execution of child soldiers, including during operation Kimia II. According to the
