In SIX Swiss Exchange message 16/2019, SIX Swiss Exchange informed Participants about the start of the Membertest Phase of the mandatory SWXess Maintenance Release 8, which will introduce the new trading service “Swiss EBBO” as well as other enhancements and optimisations.

This message informs participants about the publication of the trading regulations for SMR8.

Participant Readiness

The updated “SMR8 – Participant Readiness” brochure published with this message now also contains detailed information on the regulatory changes of SMR8. The changes since the last version of the document can be found in the document history of this brochure.

Subject to the necessary approvals, the amended trading regulations for SMR8 enter into force on 24 June 2019 and are now published under the following links on the SIX Swiss Exchange website:

Testing

SMR8 is available for testing in the Membertest environment since 1 April 2019. Please be reminded that SMR8 is a mandatory release. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you test your Member Own Applications, interfaces and business processes during the Membertest phase. You should run tests even if you do not intend to use the new functions introduced with SMR8.

Rollout

The rollout of SMR8 in the Production environment is planned for 24 June 2019. SIX Swiss Exchange will confirm the Production go-live of SMR8 by 14 June 2019 via a SIX Swiss exchange message.
