Accreditation

Accreditation evaluates whether an educational institution or programme meets defined standards on governance, teaching, research, resources, student support, and quality management. In Swiss higher education, accreditation is central to the use of protected designations and access to certain public-law recognitions. The process normally involves self-evaluation, external review, and a decision by a competent body.
