Award decision

The award decision identifies the successful bid and records the outcome of the procurement process. In Switzerland it is typically notified to bidders and, for certain procedures, published. The decision must be based on the announced criteria and sufficiently reasoned to allow bidders to understand the result and decide whether to seek review. It does not always equal contract signature: depending on the applicable rules and remedies, the authority may have to wait before concluding the contract.
