Doping regulations

Doping regulations protect fair competition, athlete health, and the credibility of sport. They usually follow the World Anti-Doping Code and cover prohibited substances and methods, testing procedures, whereabouts duties, sample analysis, therapeutic use exemptions, results management, sanctions, and appeals. Swiss relevance is significant because many sports federations, laboratories, and arbitral institutions operate in or from Switzerland. National law may also address trafficking, possession, medical conduct, privacy, and procedural safeguards, while athletes must respect both federation rules and applicable public law.
