Objection procedure

An objection procedure is a preliminary remedy used in some Swiss administrative fields and cantons. The person affected files an objection against a decision, often with the authority that issued it or with a specifically designated body. The purpose is to allow reconsideration, correct errors and narrow disputes before a formal appeal. The procedure is governed by the relevant statute, including deadlines, form, suspensive effect and scope of review. The decision on objection is usually the act that can then be appealed further.
