Organ donation law

Organ donation law regulates when organs, tissues or cells may be removed and transplanted, how consent is established, and how waiting lists and allocation are managed. In Switzerland, transplantation is mainly governed by federal rules, with strong safeguards for dignity, voluntariness, medical suitability, traceability and prohibition of organ trafficking.
