Transfer regulations
Transfer regulations define when and how athletes may move between clubs or teams. They often address registration, contractual stability, transfer windows, training compensation, solidarity payments, eligibility, and sanctions for inducement or breach. In Switzerland, international federation rules are particularly relevant because many sports bodies are based there and disputes may be heard by sports tribunals or arbitral bodies. Swiss contract, employment, competition, and data protection law may also affect enforceability, especially where minors, agency arrangements, or cross-border transfers are involved.
