Exclusion from procurement

Exclusion from procurement is a serious measure that prevents a supplier from continuing in a procedure, and in some cases may affect future participation. In Swiss procurement it may result from missing suitability, false information, conflicts of interest, corruption, serious professional misconduct, breaches of labour or environmental obligations, or material non-compliance of the bid. The authority must respect proportionality, equal treatment and the right to be heard where required. Reasons should be documented because exclusion is often challenged.
