Right to rectification
Right to have inaccurate personal data corrected or completed so that processing reflects reliable and current information.
The right to rectification allows a person to require a controller to correct inaccurate personal data or complete incomplete data. In Swiss practice it supports data quality and fairness, especially where decisions may affect employment, credit, insurance, health or public services. The requester should identify the contested data and, where useful, provide evidence. Controllers must assess accuracy in context and may record a dispute if facts cannot be conclusively resolved. Rectification should also be communicated to relevant recipients where appropriate.
