EAER Ordinance
on the Declaration for Timber and Timber Products

The Federal Department of Economic Affairs Education and Research (EAER 1 ),

based on Articles 1 paragraph 2 and 2 paragraph 2 the Ordinance of 4 June 2010 2 on the Declaration for Timber and Timber Products,

ordains:

Art. 1 Timber and timber products subject to declaration

The duty to declare applies to timber and timber products specified in the Annex.

Art. 2 Reference system for the declaration of timber species

The reference system for the declaration of the timber species comprises:

  1. the commercial timber list of the Swiss Timber Trade Centre3; and
  2. Standard SN EN 13556:20034.

Art. 3 Commencement

This Ordinance comes into force on 1 October 2010.
